Start your smile journey with a complimentary consultation!
Every orthodontic patient begins in the same place – at an initial consultation visit to learn more about their individual orthodontic needs, as well as to get to know our office and staff. We want every patient to feel welcomed as a member of our Torres Orthodontics family.
At your first visit, several things will happen, including:
- We’ll review your medical and dental history. This is important because each patient is different and has unique needs. We have to take all of this information into account before crafting a treatment plan.
- We’ll complete an oral exam that will include taking digital photos and X-rays. An oral exam is important because it can show the orthodontist issues that may not be in your dental records (such as a new cavity that may need to be filled prior to beginning treatment). Photos and X-rays are important because they help us complete the picture of what is happening in your mouth. For our younger patients who do not have all of their permanent teeth in yet, these images are crucial to helping us understand how the smile is going to take shape and to make accurate diagnoses.
- We’ll discuss treatment options and create a customized treatment plan designed to meet your specific needs. There are many different treatment options available today, and there may be more than one that can meet your needs. We’ll discuss any we think may work for you, as well as discuss which we think is the most ideal and why. The treatment plan will also provide a framework of what you can expect during your treatment and provide an estimated length we expect treatment to take.
- We’ll go over financial information, including payment plans and insurance options. We want orthodontic treatment to be as affordable as possible, and our financial team will work with you to ensure you receive the most out of your insurance benefits, and that we find a payment plan that works for you.
At your initial visit, we’ll take the time to listen to your concerns, answer any questions you have, and explain treatment options in detail so you can make the best decision for the future of your smile.
For children at their first visit, if we do not deem treatment to be necessary right away, we may recommend periodic visits as your child grows so that their smile can be monitored and if needed in the future, treatment can begin at the time it will have the best impact.
Once your initial consultation is over, you’ll have the option of scheduling your first appointment if treatment is indicated.
We can’t wait to start your smile journey with you. Schedule your first consultation today!
